Well in Australia at least!! The weather is balmy and our thoughts are all turning to the beach, BBQ-ing and salads. You can do the most fantastic salads using the Steam Oven. Blanching vegetables is so easy and a great way to increase the nutrition in your vegies. Try Blanching a couple of heads of brocolli florets. Then fry up some bacon, dice 1/2 a red onion, slice some red grapes in half, mix the warm brocolli with the other ingredients and then dress with a dressing made of whole egg mayo, sour cream, red wine vinegar, brown sugar and salt to taste. Sprinkle with toasted slivered almonds to serve. YUM! Serve with grilled meats, or in place of a green salad. Don’t forget that a chicken caesar salad will never be the same again after you have tried steaming the chicken breast…no more dried up stringy bits of chicken!
